Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts.

////   Success consists of going from failure to failure without loss of enthusiasm.

////   We shall defend our island, whatever the cost may be, we shall fight on the beaches, we shall fight on the landing grounds, we shall fight in the fields and in the streets, we shall fight in the hills; we shall never surrender.

////   Attitude is a little thing that makes a big difference.

////   Courage is what it takes to stand up and speak; courage is also what it takes to sit down and listen.

////   If you're going through hell, keep going. To improve is to change; to be perfect is to change often.

////   Never, never, never give up. Never in the field of human conflict was so much owed by so many to so few.

////   Continuous effort - not strength or intelligence - is the key to unlocking our potential.

////   A pessimist sees the difficulty in every opportunity; an optimist sees the opportunity in every difficulty.

////   You have enemies? Good. That means you've stood up for something, sometime in your life.

////   All the great things are simple, and many can be expressed in a single word: freedom, justice, honor, duty, mercy, hope.

////   Now this is not the end. It is not even the beginning of the end. But it is, perhaps, the end of the beginning.

////   I may be drunk, Miss, but in the morning I will be sober and you will still be ugly.

////   My most brilliant achievement was my ability to be able to persuade my wife to marry me.

////   The truth is incontrovertible. Malice may attack it, ignorance may deride it, but in the end, there it is.

////   We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give.

////   Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy, its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery.

////   A lie gets halfway around the world before the truth has a chance to get its pants on.

////   The empires of the future are the empires of the mind.

////   I am always ready to learn although I do not always like being taught.

////   Niccolo Machiavelli There are three kinds of intelligence: one kind understands things for itself, the other appreciates what others can understand, the third understands neither for itself nor through others. This first kind is excellent, the second good, and the third kind useless.

////   It is better to be feared than loved, if you cannot be both.

////   Never was anything great achieved without danger.

////   Entrepreneurs are simply those who understand that there is little difference between obstacle and opportunity and are able to turn both to their advantage.

////   When you disarm the people, you commence to offend them and show that you distrust them either through cowardice or lack of confidence, and both of these opinions generate hatred.

////   Men should be either treated generously or destroyed, because they take revenge for slight injuries - for heavy ones they cannot.

////   The first method for estimating the intelligence of a ruler is to look at the men he has around him.

////   If an injury has to be done to a man it should be so severe that his vengeance need not be feared.

////   No enterprise is more likely to succeed than one concealed from the enemy until it is ripe for execution.

////   A return to first principles in a republic is sometimes caused by the simple virtues of one man. His good example has such an influence that the good men strive to imitate him, and the wicked are ashamed to lead a life so contrary to his example.

////   There is nothing more difficult to take in hand, more perilous to conduct, or more uncertain in its success, than to take the lead in the introduction of a new order of things.

////   I'm not interested in preserving the status quo; I want to overthrow it.

////   It is double pleasure to deceive the deceiver.

////   Men rise from one ambition to another: first, they seek to secure themselves against attack, and then they attack others.

////   The wise man does at once what the fool does finally.

////   There is no avoiding war; it can only be postponed to the advantage of others.

////   He who wishes to be obeyed must know how to command.

////   Politics have no relation to morals.

////   Whosoever desires constant success must change his conduct with the times.

////   Where the willingness is great, the difficulties cannot be great.

////   The more sand has escaped from the hourglass of our life, the clearer we should see through it.

////   It is much more secure to be feared than to be loved. A prince never lacks legitimate reasons to break his promise.

////   Men ought either to be indulged or utterly destroyed, for if you merely offend them they take vengeance, but if you injure them greatly they are unable to retaliate, so that the injury done to a man ought to be such that vengeance cannot be feared.

////   One who deceives will always find those who allow themselves to be deceived.

////   Once you replace negative thoughts with positive ones, you'll start having positive results.

////   No matter what you're going through, there's a light at the end of the tunnel and it may seem hard to get to it but you can do it and just keep working towards it and you'll find the positive side of things.

////   Positive anything is better than negative nothing.

////   I do believe we're all connected. I do believe in positive energy. I do believe in the power of prayer. I do believe in putting good out into the world. And I believe in taking care of each other.

////   Positive thinking will let you do everything better than negative thinking will.

////   If you have a positive attitude and constantly strive to give your best effort, eventually you will overcome your immediate problems and find you are ready for greater challenges.

////   You've done it before and you can do it now. See the positive possibilities. Redirect the substantial energy of your frustration and turn it into positive, effective, unstoppable determination.

////   In order to carry a positive action we must develop here a positive vision.

////   If you're not making mistakes, then you're not doing anything. I'm positive that a doer makes mistakes.

////   Few things in the world are more powerful than a positive push. A smile. A world of optimism and hope. A 'you can do it' when things are tough.

////   Your smile will give you a positive countenance that will make people feel comfortable around you.

////   Always turn a negative situation into a positive situation.

////   When you are enthusiastic about what you do, you feel this positive energy. It's very simple.

////   Winners make a habit of manufacturing their own positive expectations in advance of the event.

////   Positive feelings come from being honest about yourself and accepting your personality, and physical characteristics, warts and all; and, from belonging to a family that accepts you without question.

////   There is little difference in people, but that little difference makes a big difference. That little difference is attitude. The big difference is whether it is positive or negative.

////   But I have found that in the simple act of living with hope, and in the daily effort to have a positive impact in the world, the days I do have are made all the more meaningful and precious. And for that I am grateful. Elizabeth Edwards

////   Like success, failure is many things to many people. With Positive Mental Attitude, failure is a learning experience, a rung on the ladder, a plateau at which to get your thoughts in order and prepare to try again.

////   I believe in karma, and I believe if you put out positive vibes to everybody, that's all you're going to get back.

////   A lot of times people look at the negative side of what they feel they can't do. I always look on the positive side of what I can do.

////   The gift of fantasy has meant more to me than my talent for absorbing positive knowledge.

////   People deal too much with the negative, with what is wrong. Why not try and see positive things, to just touch those things and make them bloom?

////   You can't make positive choices for the rest of your life without an environment that makes those choices easy, natural, and enjoyable.

////   A strong, positive self-image is the best possible preparation for success.

////   It takes but one positive thought when given a chance to survive and thrive to overpower an entire army of negative thoughts.

////  You are never too old to set another goal or to dream a new dream.

////   Always do your best. What you plant now, you will harvest later.

////   If you can dream it, you can do it.

////   People deal too much with the negative, with what is wrong. Why not try and see positive things, to just touch those things and make them bloom?

////   You can not make positive decisions for the rest of his life without an environment that makes those easy, natural and pleasant decisions.

////   A strong self-image and positive is the best possible preparation for success.

////   It takes more than a positive thought when given a chance to survive and thrive to overpower an entire army of negative thoughts.

////   Our greatest weakness lies in giving up. The most certain way to succeed is always to try just one more time.

////   A creative man is motivated by the desire to achieve, not by the desire to beat others.

////   With the new day comes new strength and new thoughts.

////   Believe in yourself! Have faith in your abilities! Without a humble but reasonable confidence in your own powers you cannot be successful or happy.

////   The will to win, the desire to succeed, the urge to reach your full potential... these are the keys that will unlock the door to personal excellence.

////   Do you want to know who you are? Don't ask. Act! Action will delineate and define you.

////   Expect problems and eat them for breakfast.

////   In order to succeed, we must first believe that we can.

////   Be kind whenever possible. It is always possible.

////   Don't watch the clock; do what it does. Keep going.

////   Even if you fall on your face, you're still moving forward.

////   You have to learn the rules of the game. And then you have to play better than anyone else.

////   Optimism is the faith that leads to achievement. Nothing can be done without hope and confidence.

////   By failing to prepare, you are preparing to fail.

////   It's not the load that breaks you down, it's the way you carry it. Do you want to know who you are? Don't ask. Act! Action will delineate and define you. Nothing in the world is ever completely wrong. Even a stopped clock is right twice a day. Of course motivation is not permanent. But then, neither is bathing; but it is something you should do on a regular basis.

////   The way to get started is to quit talking and begin doing. The only thing standing between you and your goal is the bullshit story you keep telling yourself as to why you can't achieve it. When all is said and done, more is said than done. When someone tells me no, it doesn't mean I can't do it, it simply means I can't do it with them.

////   When we are no longer able to change a situation, we are challenged to change ourselves. You'll never get ahead of anyone as long as you try to get even with him.

////   You're never as good as everyone tells you when you win, and you're never as bad as they say when you lose.

////   Get going. Move forward. Aim High. Plan a takeoff. Don't just sit on the runway and hope someone will come along and push the airplane. It simply won't happen. Change your attitude and gain some altitude. Believe me, you'll love it up here.

////   The individual who says it is not possible should move out of the way of those doing it. Live your truth. Express your love. Share your enthusiasm. Take action towards your dreams. Walk your talk. Dance and sing to your music. Embrace your blessings. Make today worth remembering.

////   If you start by promising what you don't even have yet, you'll lose your desire to work towards getting it. The problem, often not discovered until late in life, is that when you look for things in life like love, meaning, motivation, it implies they are sitting behind a tree or under a rock. The most successful people in life recognize, that in life they create their own love, they manufacture their own meaning, they generate their own motivation. For me, I am driven by two main philosophies, know more today about the world than I knew yesterday. And lessen the suffering of others. You'd be surprised how far that gets you.

////   And will you succeed? Yes indeed, yes indeed! Ninety-eight and three-quarters percent guaranteed! All great achievements require time. If you want to build a ship, don't drum up people together to collect wood and don't assign them tasks and work, but rather teach them to long for the endless immensity of the sea. All men want, not something to do with, but something to do, or rather something to be.

////   People tend to be generous when sharing their nonsense, fear, and ignorance. And while they seem quite eager to feed you their negativity, please remember that sometimes the diet we need to be on is a spiritual and emotional one. Be cautious with what you feed your mind and soul. Fuel yourself with positivity and let that fuel propel you into positive action. When defeat comes, accept it as a signal that your plans are not sound, rebuild those plans, and set sail once more toward your coveted goal. It's not that some people have willpower and some don't... It's that some people are ready to change and others are not.

////   Most people can motivate themselves to do things simply by knowing that those things need to be done. But not me. For me, motivation is this horrible, scary game where I try to make myself do something while I actively avoid doing it. If I win, I have to do something I don't want to do. And if I lose, I'm one step closer to ruining my entire life. And I never know whether I'm going to win or lose until the last second. Your talent determines what you can do. Your motivation determines how much you are willing to do. Your attitude determines how well you do it.

////   You can't build a reputation on what you are going to do.

////   It is not a daily increase, but a daily decrease. Hack away at the inessentials. Talent is a wonderful thing, but it won't carry a quitter. The foolish man seeks happiness in the distance. The wise grows it under his feet. The road to success is always under construction

////   Face reality as it is, not as it was or as you wish it to be. But one of the worst results of being a slave and being forced to do things is that when there is no one to force you any more you find you have almost lost the power of forcing yourself. The quality of a man's life is in direct proportion to his commitment to excellence, regardless of his chosen field of endeavor.

Positive thinking will let you do everything better than negative thinking will.

////   Your attitude, not your aptitude, will determine your altitude.

////   You were born to win, but to be a winner, you must plan to win, prepare to win, and expect to win.

////   It was character that got us out of bed, commitment that moved us into action, and discipline that enabled us to follow through.

////   People often say that motivation doesn't last. Well, neither does bathing - that's why we recommend it daily.

////   The foundation stones for a balanced success are honesty, character, integrity, faith, love and loyalty.

////   Honesty and integrity are absolutely essential for success in life - all areas of life. The really good news is that anyone can develop both honesty and integrity.

////   You can make positive deposits in your own economy every day by reading and listening to powerful, positive, life-changing content and by associating with encouraging and hope-building people.

////   You cannot climb the ladder of success dressed in the costume of failure.

////   If you can dream it, then you can achieve it. You will get all you want in life if you help enough other people get what they want.

////   I believe that being successful means having a balance of success stories across the many areas of your life. You can't truly be considered successful in your business life if your home life is in shambles.

////   If you learn from defeat, you haven't really lost.

////   Remember that failure is an event, not a person.

////   When you encourage others, you in the process are encouraged because you're making a commitment and difference in that person's life. Encouragement really does make a difference.

////   Expect the best. Prepare for the worst. Capitalize on what comes.

////   Sometimes adversity is what you need to face in order to become successful.

////   Be grateful for what you have and stop complaining - it bores everybody else, does you no good, and doesn't solve any problems.

////   You cannot tailor-make the situations in life but you can tailor-make the attitudes to fit those situations.

////   Send out a cheerful, positive greeting, and most of the time you will get back a cheerful, positive greeting. It's also true that if you send out a negative greeting, you will, in most cases, get back a negative greeting.

////   Statistics suggest that when customers complain, business owners and managers ought to get excited about it. The complaining customer represents a huge opportunity for more business.

////   Positive thinking will let you use the ability which you have, and that is awesome.

////   With integrity, you have nothing to fear, since you have nothing to hide. With integrity, you will do the right thing, so you will have no guilt.

////   You can have everything in life you want, if you will just help other people get what they want. Many marriages would be better if the husband and the wife clearly understood that they are on the same side.

////

////   When you are tough on yourself, life is going to be infinitely easier on you.

////   I've always taught that a poor economy is the best opportunity for salespeople because the naysayers and grumblers have already given up, leaving more territory, more opportunities to be successful than in a good economy when virtually all salespeople are out there, giving it their best.

////   If you don't see yourself as a winner, then you cannot perform as a winner.

////   It's not the situation, but whether we react negative or respond positive to the situation that is important.

////   Every sale has five basic obstacles: no need, no money, no hurry, no desire, no trust.

////   If you treat your wife like a thoroughbred, you'll never end up with a nag.

////   Failure is a detour, not a dead-end street.

////   You don't drown by falling into water. You only drown if you stay there.

////   Gratitude is the healthiest of all human emotions. The more you express gratitude for what you have, the more likely you will have even more to express gratitude for.

////   It is true that integrity alone won't make you a leader, but without integrity you will never be one.

////   If you aim at nothing, you'll hit it every time.

////   People don't buy for logical reasons. They buy for emotional reasons.

////   Honesty and integrity are by far the most important assets of an entrepreneur.

////   Just saying you are better than good won't make it so. But, when you understand what it takes to live the better than good life, and you apply yourself, your life will truly be better than good.

////   Every choice you make has an end result.

////   If God would have wanted us to live in a permissive society He would have given us Ten Suggestions and not Ten Commandments.

////   Yesterday ended last night. Today is a brand-new day.

////   A productive employee who is kept busy working at his or her job is far more likely to be happy at that job and less likely to look for employment elsewhere.

////   Be careful not to compromise what you want most for what you want now.

////   It's not what you've got, it's what you use that makes a difference.

////   Fortunately, problems are an everyday part of our life. Consider this: If there were no problems, most of us would be unemployed.

////   We all prospect, and don't even know we're doing it. When you start the dating process, you are actually prospecting for the person you want to marry. When you're interviewing employees, you are prospecting for someone who will best fit your needs.

////   I have always said that everyone is in sales. Maybe you don't hold the title of salesperson, but if the business you are in requires you to deal with people, you, my friend, are in sales.

////   Take time to be kind and to say 'thank you.'

////   Try to look at your weakness and convert it into your strength. That's success.

////   As youngsters, my mother taught her children that while we might not be the smartest people around, we could be courteous, polite and considerate of others.

////   If you want to reach a goal, you must 'see the reaching' in your own mind before you actually arrive at your goal.

////   People who have good relationships at home are more effective in the marketplace.

////   You don't have to be great to start, but you have to start to be great.

////   You do not pay the price of success, you enjoy the price of success.

////   Profitability comes from loyalty, productivity, and having a character base from which to work.

////   Success is the maximum utilization of the ability that you have.

////   You are who you are and what you are because of what has gone into your mind. You can change who you are and what you are by changing what goes into your mind.

////   Little men with little minds and little imaginations go through life in little ruts, smugly resisting all changes which would jar their little worlds.

////   You never know when a moment and a few sincere words can have an impact on a life.

////   Problem-solving becomes a very important part of our makeup as we grow into maturity or move up the corporate ladder.

////   Be there for your kids. Later, when you need them, they'll be there for you.

////   A plan is always successful if the plan is good.

////   People are basically the same the world over. Everybody wants the same things - to be happy, to be healthy, to be at least reasonably prosperous, and to be secure. They want friends, peace of mind, good family relationships, and hope that tomorrow is going to be even better than today.

////   The top salesperson in the organization probably missed more sales than 90% of the sales people on the team, but they also made more calls than the others made.

////   You cannot perform in a manner inconsistent with the way you see yourself.

////   A goal properly set is halfway reached.

////   Earl Nightingale has inspired more people toward success and fortune than any other motivational speaker on the planet.

////   If you go looking for a friend, you're going to find they're very scarce. If you go out to be a friend, you'll find them everywhere.

////

////   We need to understand the difference between discipline and punishment. Punishment is what you do to someone; discipline is what you do for someone.

////   Do more than you are being paid to do, and you'll eventually be paid more for what you do.

////   Outstanding people have one thing in common: An absolute sense of mission.

////   Research indicates that employees have three prime needs: Interesting work, recognition for doing a good job, and being let in on things that are going on in the company.

////   If people like you, they'll listen to you, but if they trust you, they'll do business with you.

////   It's absolutely true that unless you can instill discipline upon yourself, you will never be able to lead others.

////   Until you are happy with who you are, you will never be happy because of what you have.

////   Time can be an ally or an enemy. What it becomes depends entirely upon you, your goals, and your determination to use every available minute.

////   I seldom read anything that is not of a factual nature because I want to invest my time wisely in the things that will improve my life. Don't misunderstand; there is nothing wrong with reading purely for the joy of it. Novels have their place, but biographies of famous men and women contain information that can change lives.

////   I'm so optimistic, I'd go after Moby Dick in a rowboat and take the tartar sauce with me.

////   The problem is not getting rid of fear, but using it properly.

////   In the game of life, before you get anything out, you must put something in!

////   When you make a promise, keep it.

////   Time well spent results in more money to spend, more money to save, and more time to vacation.

////   If your watch is slow by just four minutes, that's not much - unless you've been warned that if you're even one minute late ever again you will be fired. Then four minutes make a big difference.

////   Success is dependent upon the glands - sweat glands.

////   I'm convinced that what kids need today are parents - not buddies. They need someone who will exercise mature judgment.

////   Being productive gives people a sense of satisfaction and fulfillment that loafing never can.

////   He climbs highest who helps another up.

////   You've got to be before you can do and do before you can have.

////   The young athlete who aspires to greatness, generally speaking, learns a number of things from several different coaches. The first one taught him the fundamentals; the second one instilled discipline in him and taught him more of the techniques that must be mastered to excel.

////   Money won't make you happy... but everybody wants to find out for themselves.

////   A lot of people quit looking for work as soon as they find a job.

////   Many people who want to be great aren't willing to do the work to make it possible!

////   The one thing coaches cannot tolerate... is the individual who grows arrogant because he excelled at a lower level and believes he has nothing else to learn.

////   Isn't it amazing how much stuff we get done the day before vacation?

////   Money isn't the most important thing in life, but it's reasonably close to oxygen on the 'gotta have it' scale.

////   It will be disastrous when a leader or manager shows up with one attitude one day and treats people with a different attitude the next day.

Bird under my window

transliterated:
Ptichka pod moim okoshkom
Gnyozdyshko dlya dyetok vyot,

A kogda nastanyet vyechyer,
Ona v gnyezdyshkye usnyot,
Tsyelyy dyen ona khlopochyet,
No i tsyelyy dyen poyot.

in English:

 Bird under my window
  Nest for kids Viet
  She is busy all day,
  But the whole day singing.

  And when the evening comes,
  She sleeps in a nest,
  She is busy all day,
  But the whole day singing.

Hen went for a walk, fresh grass to nibble,
And her boys - yellow chickens!

  Ate a fat beetle, earthworm,
